Invisalign® is the world’s leading clear aligner maker. Their approach to straightening teeth without the use of the typical metal braces has quickly revolutionized the orthodontics world. Now patients have a different option besides metal brackets. Invisalign involves wearing a series of custom-made clear plastic aligners that help shift your teeth into the proper position. We're happy to offer patients who would have never considered braces before the option of Invisalign care.
Invisalign Teen is the same concept as standard Invisalign - provide a comprehensive teeth straightening solution using removable clear retainers. The Invisalign Teen treatment program has a few subtle differences.

Traditional metal braces can be seen easily due to the metal brackets attached to the patient’s teeth. Enamel colored metal brackets can be used for a more discrete appearance.
Invisalign uses transparent plastic retainers which are not easily noticeable. The casual observer most likely will not notice that you’re wearing retainers.
Traditional metal braces require two years to treat an average case.
Invisalign treatment time is slightly less for an average case and significantly less time for mild cases.
Invisalign can cost more than twice the amount of traditional metal braces in most general practices. Because we’re Top 1% Elite Invisalign providers, we can provide Invisalign treatment for the same cost as traditional braces and lower in some cases.
The frequency of your office visits is dependent on your unique case and the treatment plan developed by your doctor. Most patients will require office visits every 4-8 weeks.
Metal braces are able to correct some complex cases more effectively than Invisalign. Your doctor will assess your case and determine if Invisalign is a good treatment option for you.
Invisalign provides a discrete visual appearance which is an important deciding factor for many patients, but another important feature is the ability to remove the retainers. Invisalign allows you to remove the retainers prior to eating (in fact, they must be removed prior to eating), so you don’t experience any of the food limitations that metal braces can present. Invisalign in general is also less intrusive and more comfortable because you’re only wearing retainers, and nothing is attached to your teeth.
That being said, there are instances in which—depending on your particular goals—clear braces may not be the absolute best match for you. Invisalign is less noticeable than clear brackets, and Invisalign can comfortably address most common orthodontic problems. So if you have a mild to moderate orthodontic condition, and the most discrete or transparent orthodontic device is a must-have, then Invisalign is the best option for you.
Treatment time may also be a deciding factor when comparing clear braces to Invisalign. For most mild to moderate l orthodontic conditions, Invisalign can help you reach an optimized bit and smile somewhat faster than bracketed braces, especially when using an accelerating device for your treatment. So if reaching an optimized bite as fast as possible is important to you, then Invisalign is the best option for you.
The design of Invisalign is naturally more comfortable than clear braces for most patients. Provided your case doesn’t require bracketed braces to optimize your smile, Invisalign is your best option and will provide the greatest comfort.
There’s a lot of options to consider. The best treatment plan for you is dependent on your unique case. Before you can start thinking about which option to choose, you should first schedule an evaluation. Our doctors will carefully evaluate your case, develop a treatment plan unique to you, and then provide you with device and pricing options.
