Orthodontics is a blend of art and science, which can improve a patient’s function, esthetics, and quality of life. As a Board-Certified orthodontist, I am committed to providing my patients with the best possible care and comfort, utilizing the field’s newest techniques and technology. I enjoy connecting with patients to assure that they understand the treatment progression and can actively participate in the creation of their beautiful smiles.
Coming from a long line of orthodontists, including my granduncle, grandfather mother, and sister, I took interest in the field at a young age. My grandfather and granduncle served as Department Chairmen of University of Oklahoma and University of Connecticut, respectively. With my family as role models, I see the unique impact that orthodontists can have on patients’ lives, bringing them increased confidence and improved self-esteem. Even today, my family continues to inspire me, providing me with a great support group to achieve the highest level of results. Continuing Education and Experience
I attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where I completed my Doctorate of Dental Medicine and met my loving wife and colleague, Patricia. We both moved to Southern California after graduation (where I was born and raised), to continue our training at UCLA. Patricia graduated as a pediatric dentist, and I received my Certificate in orthodontics and a Masters of Science in oral biology.
During my time at UCLA, I gained competency in comprehensive cleft lip and palate cases with the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center Craniofacial Team. I am Invisalign certified, and enjoy treating patients with a variety of techniques that best suits each of their needs. As a healthcare professional, I feel the importance of contributing to research to improve standards of patient care. As such, I have authored three research publications, including studies on 3D facial imaging, cleft palate repairs, and orthognathic surgeries. Memberships
I grew up in Orange County, loving the Outdoors and sports, especially tennis and basketball. My wife is from Alaska, and so I have developed a love of salmon fishing and more recently have grown fond of tuna fishing. We live in Oxnard, near the Harbor, and in our free time, we love relaxing at the beach, running, hiking, kayaking and paddleboarding. We enjoy the beautiful weather and active lifestyle of Southern California and feel fortunate to be surrounded with such a wonderful, and involved community in Ventura County.
